1024 Rogers Place
A sleek and modern remodel with a swanky steel roof, galvanized metal tubing handrail with matching post caps on sturdy 6 x 6 wood columns embrace the new deck – creates a custom upscale front entry. The fresh house paint lends an updated look. The side deck is nestled among the shade trees and adds a sweet addition to the home along with the stylish metal light fixtures guiding you to the front door. Nice job.
2309 Oxford
New construction and landscape, rock star! A well thought out combination of ornamental grasses, trees, shrubs and a clever contemporary address sign. The architecture of this new home is fresh, clean and warm. A fun assortment of decorations and plants by the front door welcomes arriving guests. A very nice addition to our community.
2809 Westdale
Sharp architectural detail has been added to the front of the home. Black metal rails with steel cabling, a new front porch/deck and walk way span the front of the home. An attractive native limestone wall and plantings sweep across the front yard. Aesthetically pleasing and functional rock steps lined with super cool path lights, creating an inviting entry. Impressive.
2916 Westdale
The color combination of the yellow door, new front porch with stained wood construction and black wire panels between wood posts make for a pleasant porch. Add in the stone wall and beautiful dancing grasses catching the afternoon sun and you have a winner…
712 Wellington
The pleasant green color of this home blends well with the established landscape. Still warm enough outside to show off pink summer roses and late enough in the year to feature purple and gold fall mums plus some charming pumpkins! Add in the hanging bat decoration and this home makes you smile. A great combination and thought out landscape that also features beautiful colors in the spring.
1006 Wellington
This home has a beautiful well established yard that must be mentioned. The stone wall encompasses the entire front yard with matching stone on the front of the home. Ornamental grasses and junipers spill out to catch the sun and frame the house, good looking! A newly constructed tree house is peeking out from behind a new fence and trellis gate… looks like fun!
2609 Westdale
The hard work shows on this beautiful home. Stone walls, beautiful beds and pretty plants. The landscape design blends well with the architecture of this home. The sun setting and a mellow twilight twinkling through the golden trees was a pleasant scene.
3031 W. 8th Street
Every season the front of this home displays an assortment of color. On the day we viewed the property golds and yellows were waving hello from a sweeping front bed that spans the front of this home. Picturesque year round.
Honorable Mention: 828 Madeline
Every year 828 Madeline is nominated. An “Honorable Mention” in indeed necessary! The homeowner is often working out in the yard (sometimes very early in the morning) and should be proud of her yard. A combination of fall colors currently adorns the back yard trees. Simply keeping all beds weeded and mulched deserves recognition! Thank you for sharing your love of landscaping with us. Because your home is on a corner lot we enjoy your front and back yard.
Honorable Mention: 1051 Wellington
What can I say? This home is nominated every year too. In recent years a garage/workshop has been added that blends well with the modern architecture of the home. The homeowners have a nice touch with a few whimsical landscape features… Love the rock tree with lights and the brightly colored yard art just makes you happy. Creative and tasteful, I always look to see if something new has been added. Fetching!
Honorable Mention: Ludlam Park
Happy face for the new toddler playground at Ludlam Park (across from Sunset Hill Elementary) it is a delight and an update was so needed. The old park was very tired and not often visited. As a new Grandma the park is sweeeeeet! The equipment is colorful and safe. Thank you to all who made this happen, this park is a lovely update to our community.
