Once a year the Sunset Hill Neighborhood Association recognizes neighbors who have recently enhanced their home through renovations, landscaping, or other improvements. Congratulations to the 9 homes receiving Applause Awards for 2016!

828 Madeline

A garden of thought and care, every morning you can see the resident at 828 Madeline outside working in the yard and it shows.  The attractive landscape always has something new and interesting.  This labor of love is a great addition to our community.

2524 Harvard

Every weekend the residents at 2524 Harvard have added a new addition to their landscape.  The beds are now in place and gradually the split rail fence has gone up.  This landscape development has transformed this corner lot.  A unique and practical design.

2607 Orchard Lane

2607 Orchard Lane is cutting edge permaculture or is it really getting back to basics?  This homeowner has taken a difficult landscape and turned it into a show piece.  A beautiful native stone retaining wall terraces the steep front yard creating garden beds above and lawn below.  By directing rain runoff from the roof to help water the front yard garden of fruit trees, berry bushes and annual vegetables, the landscape introduces environmental principals and new esthetic.
